Research consistently shows that anonymising candidate information increases diversity. That’s because everyone of us carries bias that clouds our judgment.

One piece of research in Sweden showed that anonymising CVs increased the likelihood of women and non-European candidates reaching the interview stage by 8 percentage points (not to be confused with 8 percent!). That is a HUGE increase.
