Posting to LinkedIn

The ai.r LinkedIn integration allows you to automatically post jobs straight to LinkedIn directly from within ai.r. In order to do this, you will need a LinkedIn Recruiter license which can be purchased from LinkedIn.

Integrating ai.r with LinkedIn Recruiter

If you have a LinkedIn Recruiter license you can integrate ai.r directly with LinkedIn.

Firstly, go to Settings > Integrations and click LinkedIn.

You need to enter you Company ID, a number which is located on the right hand side of your LinkedIn Recruiter home page. It is under your company name and is shown next to ID:.

Your Contact ID is provided by ai.r. Please contact us at [email protected] to get your ID.

We integrate using an XML feed, it’s a website that lists your job information that LinkedIn scan and use to generate new jobs within your LinkedIn Recruiter account. You can find your unique XML URL under job source, click the overlapping squares to copy it.

  • Estimated number of expected open jobs from source (ai.r)

  • Enable job backfill: When backfill is enabled, unused Job Slots will automatically be filled with the most recently posted jobs from your ATS or career site. You will also designate a default person to be the job poster for all backfill jobs.

  • Company page on LinkedIn

  • Applicant source tracking code: Tracking measures whether candidates who click your jobs on LinkedIn complete the application in ai.r, providing a more accurate view of ROI to inform future job postings.

  • Additional information (optional): Enter any relevant information that may help when setting up this request, such as an additional source URL, job exclusion requirements, IP whitelist request needed, etc.

Once ai.r has been connected, the Status will change from “Source in process of activation” to “ATS source added.” You can also view your configured ai.r on the Configured sources tab.

You may receive an email from the LinkedIn Support team with instructions on next steps, including ensuring your jobs are displaying accurately. You’ll have the option to connect directly with the LinkedIn Support team to understand if there are customized solutions that will help with the quality of your setup.

LinkedIn rules when publishing a job

LinkedIn have mandatory rules that must be followed to publish a job through the integration.

If these rules aren’t followed then your job will not appear on your jobs page

Mandatory fields

When creating the job you must set the following:

● Job Title
● Job Description
● Location

Location rules

LinkedIn has very specific rules for office locations.

  • US locations – City, State (for example, “San Francisco, CA”)
  • Non-US locations – City, Country (for example, “London, United Kingdom”)

LinkedIn automatically maps this to a country and postal code unless those fields are provided.

Separate jobs need to be created for jobs with multiple work locations.

Remote Jobs require only a country or country cluster location.

LinkedIn have additional specific rules for what is included within the location depending on the workplace type. Below are the minimum location requirements for the workplace types:

  • On-site City and Country
  • Hybrid City and Country
  • Remote State, Country or Country Cluster

These rules are not controlled by ai.r and are a requirement from LinkedIn.
